Jacob’s Heart

He came to us most assuredly
From a loving God above,
And through the veil of our tears
Without a word,
He spoke the truth of love.

Although his sweet breath
We never felt upon our faces
The legacy of Jacob’s heart
Upon our own
Has forever left its traces.
