Beefing up your privacy policy

Ralph Wilson (Web Marketing Today) comments on a new report that says 87% of respondents believe that if they subscribe to an e-mail newsletter, they will be spammed as a result. One of his solutions is to add this to his privacy policy: “Subscribing will not result in more spam! I guarantee it!”

That’s a great idea! I just changed mine to this:

Our privacy policy
We do not rent, sell, or share your email address with any company, organization or individual, sacred or secular. And, subscribing will not result in more spam. We guarantee it!
