Improving event websites
An event website is definitely a different animal.
Earlier this year I led a series of seminars at a convention for conference managers (or was it a conference for convention managers?). After 11 years of developing and improving event websites, and a fairly frequent attender of conferences, I felt pretty qualified to offer some suggestions.
I just found out that that convention’s editor wrote and ran a summary of my seminars recently in their magazine, entitled “Use Your Event Website to Promote Strong, Healthy Growth”: PDF | Web.
I’m sure that in the interest of brevity, they had to condense and tweak a couple points here and there, which aren’t exactly representative of what I said. But overall, it’s a good summary.
