One of my faves, from Russell Simmons, Co-founder, Def Jam Records; founder, Rush Communications:

You get a lot of benefit from giving, not from taking. You have to fill a void, give people something that’s meaningful and useful. If it’s an entrepreneurial venture, find what people need and give it to them. Give them something that’s lasting. Be careful not to take a shortcut or give people what they think they need.
